Canterbury 10 mile Race

30th January 2005
Canterbury After not nearly enough training Bec and I competed in the annual Canterbury 10 mile (16kms) road race. It was a relatively warm day - around 9 degrees - and cloudy, so it eased the pain of the run! There were around 1000 people running and it appeared to be taken a lot more seriously by them than by us. Still - it was a fun challenge! Being my first race - just finishing was the first goal, but after 5 miles I thought I might be able to do an ok time. I aimed for 1 hour 25 mins but fell a little short finishing in 1hr 27mins. We even got some t-shirts for souvenirs!
