| Altenmarkt, Austria | Wow! What a great week in the gorgeous Austrian sunshine. Perfect weather indeed. We had a great hotel only about 20mins by bus (free) transfer up to the ski slopes at Zauchensee. (If anyone is a fan of skiing - Herman Meier hails from a place very very nearby to Zauchensee). First day learning to board was very frustrating indeed - just couldn't get my balance to stand up and kept crashing down. I'd like to thank Lewis for his time to take me through the motions that morning I guess he has quite a lot of patience indeed! Thankfully by the end of the 2nd day I was up on the pistes with everyone else starting to find my feet and coming down the runs. It was great fun, and by the end of the week I was very pleased with my progress. Already trying to plan my next week away in the snow! Thanks to all the gang (Pete, Bec, Lewis, Amy, James, Lucy, Craig, Chris and Sam) for the fun in the sun (snow) and the great stories and laughs. |
